The Beckman H6002 Rotor is a bowl rotor that spins tubes horizontally in tube holders. The rotor is used in Beckman Coulter Allegra® 64R and discontinued Avanti® 30, Allegra 21 series, GS-15 series, and Spinchron 15 series centrifuges. This rotor develops centrifugal forces that can efficiently pellet subcellular organelles, viruses, bacteria, mitochondria, chloroplasts, or algae. The rotor carries a range of tube sizes (from 250 μL to 1.8 mL) in color-coded anodized aluminum holders, which may also be used as tube racks outside the rotor.
