The Horizon Variomag MONO Magnetic Stirrer is unlike conventional magnetic stirrers with electric motors spinning permanent magnets as it has no moving parts.
Variomag stirrers have stationary magnetic coils through which current is varied to produce a rotating magnetic field that drives the magnetic stir bar. As a result Variomag stirrers have a flat design with no wear, no maintenance and high precision speed control.
