The Operetta Microplate Reader with Cermax Xenon Fiber-Optic Light Source, Model XL3000 is an automated fluorescence imaging reader for usage in biological and pre-clinical research (biosafety levels 1 and 2). Due to its technical design, the unit is particularly suitable for cellular applications.

The Cermax Xenon Fiber-Optic Light Source delivers a robust lamp design with easy lamp replacement and no alignment issues. Cermax Xenon sets the industry standard in reliability, optical efficiency and ease-of-use. The XL3000 system is designed with a four-port rotating turret fiber optic adapter, compatible with industry standard fiber optic cables—ACMI, Wolf, Storz and Olympus. The high performance FOI system was also designed with safety in mind. It features interlocks to prevent stray light leakage, should the unit be operated without a fiber connection or if the fiber is removed during operation.
