Bio-Rad GEL DOC XR SYSTEM

The Bio-Rad GEL DOC XR System is a fully featured gel documentation system for DNA/RNA and protein gels. Useful for multiple lab settings and labs needing a platform for excising DNA gel bands.

Features:

– Large imaging area for larger gels (e.g., genotyping gels)
– Enables easy excision of DNA gel bands
– CCD camera with optional lamp, filters, and conversion screens for different imaging modes:
– Trans-UV for imaging of DNA and RNA gels and florescence stains
– Epi-white for visible light imaging of Coomassie, copper, and silver stains
– Blue light conversion screen for visualization of DNA/RNA without UV damage
– Can detect the following Nucleic Acids: Ethidium Bromide, Coumarin Stain and Fast Blastô DNA Stain
– Has the following systems regarding Protein Staining:
  – Stain-Free Imaging (Requires Bio-Rad’s stain-free gels)
